32 years ago, a group of 15 prestigious women of the phirst and phinest distinction joined together under the efforts to service their Eastern Shore of Virginia community and cultivate the quality of life by being of service to all mankind. These efforts came to fruition on May 24, 1986 for Pi Epsilon Omega of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated was chartered. Without the diligent determination of these women, especially Joyce Terry who initiated the vision, Pi Epsilon Omega would not be who we are today. Our charter members are as follows:
